This is the most updated Clockwork Recovery(CWR) for the Nook Color. This file is installed to your SD card to allow you to boot from the SD card into the CWR environment. From there you will install different roms such as Cyanogenmod 7. special thanks goes out to eyeballer and DizzyDen @ XDA Developers for creating the bootables and referencing my page here.

How to create a bootable CWR SD card:
Note: in the video i reference an eyeballer version of the image. Use the versions above. They work just the same.
Requirements:
- Nook Color
- atleast 1GB micro SD card
- xxgb_clockwork-3.0.2.8.rar listed above
- Win32 Disk Imager
- USB SD card reader(a must have, you cannot use the nook for writing to the SD card during this process
Instructions
- Download all of the above files and put them in a convenient location. Extract Win32DiskImager and xxgb_clockwork-3.0.2.8.rar. Use an archive program such as WINRAR to extract the files.
- Open Win32Disk Imager and click the …. to select the xxgb_clockwork-3.0.2.8.img file
- Change the drive letter to your microSD card and click write.WARNING: This erases everything on your SD card.
- If you see a warning message click yes.
- The process to write the image should take no more than 5 minutes.
- Once it is complete, remove your SD card and insert it into your Nook Color that should be powered off first.
- Once inserted, turn the Nook Color on.
- Wait for it to load and you are now in the CWR environment.
- Use the volume keys to navigate, home to select, and power for back.
Use the HP format tool to return your SD card to original size.

Care to share in depth what is the purpose and use of Updated Clockwork Recovery Bootable SD?
As i am new to this..
Best Regards,
CK
Every different rom you installed it would require a different version of CWR that you would download and flash to your sd card. This version is updated to support all roms and advanced ext 3/4 partitions. It is a universal bootable CWR.

I tried this on a 2GB card. When I went to the “format data” part of the instructions, I got an error. I then proceeded to install the restore 1.1 file, but I continue to get to the screen with the “n” sign with “Mobile Reader Technology by Adobe” screen, and it hangs. Any help or suggestions?
that is probably an error due to not formatting. try the updated version for alot of bug fixes http://bit.ly/mH1Wmo

OK. Foolish me used the above instructions before remembering to update the NC to 1.2. Now when it starts it gets stuck at the “n” screen. I tried a hard reset holding down the power and home key together but that process had the same result. Is there anyway to get it back to factory????
I’m not sure what instructions you are refering too. The post you commented on is for an updated clockwork image, not anything that modifies your Nook Color. Here is how to return to stock. http://mrm3.net/nook-color-recover-any-bricked-device/
The link for the 1gb v3.2.0.1 CM is no longer working. Thanks.
Link is fixed. Thanks!
Can you please clarify after re-partion blue dot nook to either original or custom which version of Clockwork Recovery do i use. Also clarify before re-partion which version of clock work Recovery to use. I’m assuming i use Clockwork Recovery v3.2.0.1 for re-partion and then after re-partion I would use Clockwork Recovery v3.0.2.8 to install Cyanogenmod Nightlies. Thank You.
it really depends on the user and how much apps or videos/music you will have on the device. Go for custom. Use CWR 3.2.0.1
